Mark you calendars for Sunday May 6th for the Cincinnati Yoga Teachers Association’s Annual Day of Yoga!  They are waiving the membership requirement for this day only and our own Stephanie Herrin will be teaching one of the classes.  I’m attaching the brochure below:

YOGA FOR STRESS MANAGEMENT

Stephanie Herrin Sometimes as we struggle to keep pace with the busy-ness of life we find ourselves longing for respite and relief.  We feel overburdened, “stressed out”, and physically and emotionally exhausted.  Your yoga mat can become your safe haven away from the hustle and bustle of your daily routine.  Using Integrated Yoga Therapy, you will learn how to manage your stress by using your breath, physical postures and hand positions to melt away your stress and reconnect with your Center.

10:45—12:00 SESSION TWO

PRANAYAMA

Nancy BloemerNancy will use the technique of  Pranayama “The Yoga of Breathing” to help you with relaxation.  Using your breath  you will learn to disarm stress and tension and feel invigorated and energized

12:00—1:15  LUNCH ON YOUR OWN

1:15—2:30  SESSION THREE

YOGA: AN AID TO JOYFILLED LIVING

Dan Erdman, Yoga ApprenticeDan will present, discuss, and practice allowing oneself to live more fully in one’s natural state of joy using Yoga as an aid.  Teachings of Roger Null, B.K.S. Iyengar, Pat & Jack Barker, Deepak Chopra, Abraham-Hicks, Richard Rohr, Maria Montessori, and Wayne Dyer (among others) in conjunction with Yoga poses and philosophy have helped Dan increase the frequency and intensity of joyfilled experiences in his life. He’d like share these concepts and practical techniques with you.

YOGA NIDRA

Tracy Jo DuckworthTracy Jo will  take you through the ultimate relaxation - Yoga Nidra, also known as “Yogic sleep”.  This technique will allow you to experience  true stress relief and relaxation. It’s the perfect end to our day.

DIRECTIONS-From South:  Take I 71 North to the Ridge Ave. North Exit (Exit 8C).  Make a slight Right on to Ridge and go 1.2 miles and the Yoga School is on the Left.

From North: Take I 71 South to the Ridge Ave./Kennedy Ave. Exit (Exit 8).  Turn Left on to Highland Ave. Turn Right on to Ridge and go 0.9 miles and the Yoga School is on the Left. Note:  If the parking lot at the Cincinnati Yoga School is full, you can park in the Church Parking lot across the street.  Since it is a Sunday and there is a possibility that the lot may be full there as well, you can park in the lot at the corner of Montgomery and Ridge just 50 meters away. -
